FMT 75 Safety Microwave Transmitter

Ferrite Microwave’s FMT 75 Safety Microwave Transmitter has been designed from the ground up to be the safest generator ever built. The unit offers redundancy, control, monitoring and easy access to all transmitter components. New features for the FMT series include: the magnetron “tube in a box” design, separate access points to low voltage boxes on the front door for added safety, and more. As a unit that complies with global standards for electrical safety and performance, this transmitter is the safest 75 kilowatt microwave transmitter on the market.

FMT 75 Transmitter: Safe & Efficient Microwave Power

The FMT 75 Safety Microwave Transmitter has an external pump skid for maximum possible separation between water and high-voltage. In addition, it offers separate, easy access to all low voltage control components and circuitry.

These microwave power units feature extensive monitoring. This includes: transformers, anode, solenoid, and forward and reflected power levels. Utilizing FMT’s advanced circulator technology, protection of the magnetron is critical.

Our circulators offer superior magnetron protection and thus extend the lifespan of magnetrons in the process. With features like the “tube-in-a-box,” the FMT 75 offers the highest levels and most advanced EMI filtering available.

Other Safety Features of the FMT Series

  • Separate voltage supply.
  • Simple changing of diode boards.
  • Physical key-locks on every panel door.
  • Safety levels that reach SIL 2 / PL-d certification.
  • Safety inteface includes dual contactors and safety door switches.
  • For added safety, separate access to low voltage box on front door.
  • Pump stays on if transmitter distribution circuit breaker trips during a magnetron overload.

While traditional transmitter controls are pre-determined voltage setpoints, the FMT 75 Safety Microwave Transmitter unit features optional controls based on actual microwave output. In addition, directional couplers on the microwave launcher measure power and reflected power. This allows for sophisticated and efficient analysis when paired with directional couplers on the waveguide run.
