Circulators by Microwave Frequency: UHF Band
For ultra high frequency (UHF) applications, Ferrite offers various component level solutions, as well as complete systems and microwave assemblies. The UHF frequency range spans from 300 to 3000 MHz. Common uses include TV & Broadcast, Microwave Ovens, Radio Astronomy, Mobile Phones, Wireless LAN, Bluetooth, High-Energy Physics Research (Accelerators), among others.
495 to 505 MHz
Circulators in the 495 to 505 MHz microwave frequency range are most often used in extremely high power, high-energy physics applications. Circulators by Microwave Frequency: L Band
The L Band is a frequency range from 1 to 2 GHz. The “L” stands for “Long.” The common uses for this microwave frequency include: military telemetry, global positioning systems (GPS), air traffic control (ATC) radar systems, and scientific research. Circulators by Microwave Frequency: S Band
FMT circulators and isolators in the S Band operate in a frequency range from 2 to 4 GHz. We regularly produce high-power microwave components with center frequencies of 2998 and 2450 MHz (2.998 and 2.45 GHz). In addition, FMT flange interfaces cover all industry standards, including waveguide sizes WR 340 and WR 284. Applications for circulators in this microwave frequency band include: medical (oncology), radar (weather and surface ship), industrial processing, and devices for microwave & radio frequency communications.
2998 MHz Circulators

2450 MHz Circulators

While most components are geared toward commercial and industrial processing applications, we support all needs at 2450 MHz, regardless of the setting. Uniquely, FMT was the first company to ever develop a 30 kW CW three port isolator at 2450 MHz.

Circulators by Microwave Frequency: X Band
The X Band operates from 8 to 12 GHz. It is named X for crosshair, as it was used in World War II for fire control radar. Ferrite Microwave Technologies X Band solutions are commonly used in SATCOM, defense radar, terrestrial broadband, space communications, among other radar applications.
Ku Band devices operate in a frequency range of 12 to 18 GHz. More often than not, this microwave frequency band is used for SATCOM. “Ku” stands for Kurtz Under. The word Kurtz is German for “short.”
K Band devices operate in a frequency range of 18 to 26.5 GHz. The “K” stands for Kurtz. Typically, the common uses for the K band include: radar, satellite communications, astronomical observations, and automotive radar.
