Circulators & Isolators
The most wide-ranging and diverse portfolio of circulators, isolators, and duplexers in the high-power microwave industry. FMT has a design library of over 1400 models to choose from, supporting various markets, environments, interfaces, and power levels. Our designs offer high reliability where failure cannot be tolerated. Circulators and isolators are manufactured for high peak and average power, with convection cooled and liquid cooling options. Designs include waveguide and coaxial, “Y” and “T” junctions, in 3-port and 4-port configurations.
Terminations & Loads
Ferrite Microwave Technologies terminations and loads are manufactured with reliability and mechanical strength as the primary design factors. In conjunction with Mega Industries and the FXR Dummy Load product line, we offer loads from WR28 to WR2300+, with designs including finned, unfinned, liquid cooled, air cooled, coupled water loads, super high power, and beyond. Our standard loads satisfy industry requirements where reliable performance, rugged construction, and reasonable cost are the primary considerations.
Passive Components
We have design capability for a wide range of waveguide components, including: couplers, windows, filters, phase shifters, waveguides, transitions, and beyond. High-power waveguide components by FMT are utilized across a diverse range of markets, from industrial processing, to medical oncotherapy, to weather and military radar applications. Our team will help you design and fabricate a wide variety of microwave devices. We offer a full range of services from initial design consultation for new components, to research and development.
INDUSTRIAL MICROWAVE SYSTEMS
Ferrite Microwave Technologies’ Industrial Microwave Systems Division offers complete solutions for tempering, cooking, drying, heating, and industrial materials processing. In addition to full microwave systems, FMT offers replacement parts and refurbishment services for magnetron tubes and circulators, as well as on-site system maintenance service and repair.
Food Processing: Tempering, Boost Heating & Cooking
Our industrial microwave systems are used to dry, boost-heat, temper or fully cook food items. Microwave energy has been utilized by the food processing sector since the 1970s for bacon cooking, and uniform tempering of deep frozen products. Recent advances have opened up new applications for drying, boost-heating, cooking, and tempering certain foodstuffs. All of FMT’s microwave systems are FSMA and FDA compliant and constructed of food-grade materials. We can also add microwave power to existing food processing equipment or infrastructure.
Microwave Power: Generators & Transmitters
Each of our microwave systems receive power from our very own FMT microwave generators. FMT offers a full line of 896, 915, 922, and 929 MHz microwave generators with 75 kW and 100 kW options, plus custom-tailored power solutions. Our proven microwave generator technology shows with the largest install base in the industrial sectors, and within the food processing industry. Occasionally, industrial processors use generators as standalone power units. However, when combining FMT microwave generators together, power levels of up to 1.2 MW are achievable.
Industrial Microwave Heating, Drying & Materials Processing
The industrial heating and drying marketplace is filled with various applications for our microwave system technology. This includes foam treatment, lumber preparation, drying of textiles, chemicals heating, coal treatment, oil reclamation, and beyond. Whether your interest is microwave-assisted heating or materials drying, we have microwave system designs specifically for your application. We customize every system, built to suit the customer’s facility and requirements. We are happy to manufacture custom cavities and applicators to fit non-standard requests.
Power Combiners
As a Microwave Techniques company, we offer advanced solutions for microwave power combining technology. Our waveguide and coaxial power combiners include: Hybrids, SSPA Combiners, Isolated & Non-Isolated, Switching Networks, and more. Ferrite Microwave Technologies and Mega Industries have a standard portfolio of 2, 4, 6, 8 and 16-way combiner options, and develop custom power combiners for high-power RF applications.
Integrated Waveguide Assemblies
Our advanced microwave engineering team designs and fabricates a variety of integrated waveguide assemblies. We’ve previously built assemblies for clients in the medical, weather radar, and military radar fields. FMT assemblies include components such as: circulators, loads, couplers, pressure ports, arc detector sections, waveguides, along with mounting and support brackets. Units deliver electrically and mechanically ready for system integration.

FERRITE
FERRITE is a leading provider of circulators, isolators, duplexers, loads, and other microwave components to clients in radar, medical, high-energy physics, and industrial applications. FMT has two primary business divisions: components and systems. The systems division offers solutions for heating, drying, tempering, cooking, and industrial processing. Since 1983, Ferrite has led the way in high-power devices and systems.
IMS
IMS is a leading designer of innovative, patented microwave systems for continuous flow manufacturing processes that require rapid and uniform heating and drying. Their cylindrical and planar heating and drying systems provide unique solutions for liquid products ranging from pumpable foods and chemical fluids, to solid products such as foam, paper, textiles, and fabrics. IMS joined the Microwave Techniques group in 2021.
