Ferrite Microwave Technologies (FMT) manufactures a wide assortment of high power waveguide phase shifters from WR90 to WR2300. Various phase shift changes can be achieved, based upon the individual application and power levels.
Waveguide Phase Shifters: FMT Designs
FMT phase shifters are available in a range of materials, from Aluminum to Copper, and Brass. Our support from the Mega Industries product line allows us to offer high power waveguide phase shifters unlike any other in the industry.
Our design capabilities include:
- Manual
- Motorized
- 3-Probe Manual
- 3-Probe Motorized
- Ultra-High Vacuum
In applications that involve extremely high power, waveguide phase shifters of the short slot hybrid design are incorporated. For critical phase or ultra-high power applications, we can incorporate water cooling into these designs.
Product Spotlight: High Precision WR284 Phase Shifter
This high precision WR284 phase shifter was developed, designed, and manufactured for a cutting edge application, requiring extreme accuracy and repeatable phase shift. Our development of this solution allowed scientists to continue their research.
Microwave Techniques: Capabilities
In 2020, Ferrite Microwave Technologies merged with Mega Industries. This merger expanded engineering capabilities, product lines, and manufacturing capacity for both legacy brands. The Microwave Techniques group manufactures waveguide components in sizes from WR28 to WR2300+, and coaxial components from Type N to 14-inch diameter. Product support spans frequencies from 50 MHz to 50 GHz, handling power levels ranging from 5 W to well over 50 MW.
Other Phase Shifter Designs
Coaxial
Mega Industries high power coaxial phase shifters offer a constant impedance design. These units deliver low insertion loss, low VSWR, and practically no WOW. In coaxial topologies, these devices are available in both manual and motorized configurations.
Ultra High Vacuum
Phase shifters of the ultra-high vacuum type are typically for our partners in the scientific sector, for medical LINACs and high-energy physics research.
