Ferrite has a long history of providing waveguide components for security & inspection. Most electronic security and inspection equipment involves applications from border control, to baggage screening, cargo screening, and more. These systems provide X-ray scanning technology for the inspection of cargo in all areas of transit. Sharing many aspects with High Energy Physics and Oncology accelerator applications, Ferrite’s devices in this market are designed with the primary considerations of low insertion loss, high isolation, and the management of reflections up to 100%. Our components within this marketplace typically fall within the X, C, or S-band.
Scanning, Security & Inspection Components: Technologies
The technology within these markets originated within both the Scientific and Medical marketplaces with many of the primary Medical OEM’s taking the lead in the migration into Scanning Technology.
